Illinois man injured after motorcycle accident

On behalf of of Frederick & Hagle posted in Motorcycle Accidents on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.

Suffering serious injuries in an accident is an outcome that many drivers hope to avoid. Unfortunately, a car or motorcycle accident can take place at any time and have harrowing results. An injured party could face long-term effects that could cause considerable hindrances. If the injured individual would like to seek compensation for monetary losses, filing a civil claim could be a step to consider.

One man in Illinois may be contemplating such an option after a recent accident. It was reported that the man was traveling westbound on a motorcycle when he was struck by a pickup truck. The pickup truck was traveling north when the driver allegedly failed to stop at a red light, which resulted in the truck colliding with the motorcycle as it passed through the intersection.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered injuries. He was transported from the scene to an area hospital. It was not mentioned whether the pickup truck driver suffered any injuries. Reports did say that the truck driver claimed that his brakes were not working properly at the time of the crash. Nonetheless, he was issued a ticket for failing to obey a traffic control device.

It is unfortunate that this Illinois motorcycle accident resulted in the man suffering injuries. As he works to recover from those injuries, he may have to contend with considerable expenses due to his injuries. If he would like to work toward gaining compensation for those financial losses resulting from the accident, he may want to look into filing a personal injury claim against the driver considered at fault.
