Terrifying Illinois steel plant explosion injures 9 employees

Firefighters report that they had been to the Illinois steel plant that had an explosion last week on previous occasions due to workplace accidents, but this was the worst they had responded to. The Occupational and Safety Health Administration is investigating the industrial accident that injured at least nine employees, but preliminary reports indicate it may have been an explosion of natural gas.

Hospital construction worker transported to ER after fall

In an unusual Illinois construction accident that occurred earlier this week in Naperville, a construction worker was working on the exterior of a hospital when his worksite became his recovery site. The man needed to be brought to the emergency services department of Edward Hospital when construction material fell onto him and he was subsequently injured.

Fiery accident in Champaign results in 5 injury victims
